The western bed is an original design that draws on the tradition of mid century modernism and Danish sensibilities. It's a statement of clean lines, simplicity, and the natural beauty of hardwood. It features a solid walnut headboard canted at a 95 degree angle, a solid walnut perimeter and tapered, solid walnut legs.
The legs on this bed are 10" tall and the side rails are 2.5" tall, and the height of the platform is 11.5" (the mattress is hemmed in by the side rails). The total footprint for a queen bed is 61.5" x 83". For a king it's 77.5" x 83". For a cal king it's 73.5" x 87".
The headboard is 13" tall, with a 10" gap from the platform to the bottom of the headboard (this gap can be modified). The top of the headboard is approximately 38" off the ground.
