Classic Modern Bed with Night Stands (Mid Century Danish Modern Style)

This bed and night stand set is designed and hand-crafted by yours truly in Long Beach, California. The furniture pictured is built from solid walnut, but I can use other woods upon request. The design is my own, inspired by the Scandinavian furniture of the 1950s. All joinery is mortise and tennon, which means its built to last forever. You will pass this bed on to your kids (if they are cool). It's easy to assemble- four bolts hold the frame together and the slats screw down to give it additional rigidity. A thin sheet of plywood goes over the slats (upon request) to give a uniform, platform-like surface. The bottom of the bed is 8 1/2 inches off the ground, and the top of the headboard is about 39 inches off the ground, and there's about 13 inches from the top of the slats to the bottom of the headboard. The total footprint of a queen bed is 65" x 85". For a king, it's 81" x 86". I can build it in any other size as well. There are three options on the headboard: the standard headboard is about 10.5" tall and is what you see pictured in this listing. I also offer a medium headboard that's about 13 inches tall and a large version that's about 15.5" tall. The price listed here is for the standard headboard- please inquire for pricing on larger headboards. The night stand drawers open and close with ultra smooth soft-close hardware. I am of course happy to take orders for just the bed without the night stands or vice-versa. See my other listings for reference.
